A conveyor chain
is a part of the conveyor system that is designed using a series of journal bearings fastened by constraining link plates. Each of these bearings
has a bush and pin on which the chain roller revolves. Chain conveyors use an electric continuous chain arrangement that carries a range of pendants. The arrangement of the chain is driven by a motor which then conveys the materials suspended on the pendants. Chain conveyors are used for moving items down an assembly line or in a warehousing or manufacturing plant. Conveyor chains are mainly used to transport bulky unit loads like grid boxes, pallets
and industrial containers. Usually, chain conveyors are easy to install and require minimal maintenance for users. Types of conveyor chains:1. Hollow Bearing pin chainThis pin chain allows one to bolt attachments through the hollow bearing pins in a fixed or free manner. 2. Solid bearing pin chain This conveyor belt has the similar dimensions to the above-mentioned hollow bearing pin chain but with more sturdiness to suit larger conveyor applications. 3. Deep Link Chain The deep link chain is a conveyor belt that features a deeper side that has been played more than normal chain plates. This type of chain can either come in solid or hollow bearing pin kinds. 4. Deep Forged Chain Also referred to as the scraper chain or en-masse conveyor chain, the deep forged chain is already fitted with attachments which are welded onto the chain links.
