(driving shaft) is connected to the engine and is referred to as an impeller. The other turbine is connected to the driven shaft (output shaft). Then, the case is filled with hydraulic fluid. When the input shaft rotates, it starts rotating the hydraulic fluid that also rotates the driven shaft. At high speed, the driving and driven shafts rotate at the same speed.
