are in ordinary cases not zero backlash, some minor changes during their manufacturer and addition of specialized elements make them fit well into the category. Another common low backlash coupling category is the disc type. These are high speed and temperature couplings that do not require lubrication. They are sold in standard and spacer coupling designs. Depending on your application, beam couplings are also categorized as low backlash couplings. They are light and ideal for applications where high precision is needed.
