Bevel gear consists of two shaft intersecting axes. Its tooth-bearing is conically shaped, which makes them suitable for shafts
with 90-degree distance apart. To satisfy and meet varying application, bevel gears
are available in different types. One of which is miter gear. Miter gears have the same numbers of teeth with right angle axes. With this configuration, miter gears are best for equipment or tool that need 90-degree rotational motion transmission. It should also have a 1:1 ratio. However, since its equal number of teeth, it doesn't allow speed control either increase or decrease.
MRO Supply offers miter gears from Browning, Boston Gear, Linn Gear, and Martin Sprocket. They are available in a different number of teeth and outside diameters. For compatibility concerns, contact MRO supply for assistance.
