Screw Conveyor Accessories

Screw conveyors or auger conveyors, use the rotating helical screw blade mechanism known as flighting to move solids and liquids inside a tube. There are different types of screw conveyors including the shaftless, inclined, vertical and horizontal screw conveyors. Screw conveyors are popular in industries that handle bulk solid and liquids movement’s processes. The modern screw conveyor design is horizontal with a slight upward incline that enhances efficiency. The common types of materials moved using screw conveyor belts are food waste, animal feed, cereal grains, and municipal solid wasted and other aggregates. Screw conveyor accessories that make up the screw conveyor system include discharge spout, plunger screws, belt guards, driveshafts, screw clamps, and rotary airlocks. Screw conveyor accessories are mostly made of mild or stainless steel.
