A jib crane is a horizontal beam primarily used to provide additional support for overhead bridge cranes. Some applications use a jib as a hanging lifting device. Instead of connected the job to a moveable hoist, you can directly attach the jib on the floor, provided that it is several feet higher than the material being lifted.
