Description:
A V-ring is a type of all-
rubber seal that provides protection using centrifugal slinger operation. The elastic construction makes it easy to install and use either wet or dry contamination. V-rings are mainly used in devices where no or only very limited contamination (dirt, dust, oil splash, water or grease) can be tolerated. They can also be used to retain grease
lubricants. When you take a closer look at every V-ring, you will note that they are constructed with three main parts; body, lip (this is self-adjusting), and the hinge. The body of the ring is carefully designed to maintain interference fit when fitted on the shaft and to hold the lip in position. V-rings are preferred in many operations because no special countersurface is needed, they have little heat build-up, and torque drag is very low. Note that they are created in different sizes to fit varying shaft sizes. To see the full list of available V-rings and place your order, make sure to visit our page.
