Rigid sleeve bearing units provide compact and reliable usage in applications where continuous operation and uninterrupted service are required. Bronze bearings are recommended for heavier loads, impact, and temperatures beyond the limits of babbitt bearings. They can be operated at ambient temperatures up to 300°F (149°C) providing satisfactory lubrication is available. Bronze has excellent all-around bearing characteristics; it has a relatively low coefficient of friction and a remarkable resistance to shock and wear.
