The A160 Dormer drill has a 118 degree four facet point which makes it easy to regrind and provides help with self centering so the drill doesn’t wander over the material surface.
The drill has a high speed steel body with a brazed carbide tip, giving you the performance of a carbide drill with a strong and flexible body, so less inclined to shatter than solid carbide and also less expensive.
The carbide tip also gives you higher performance and extended tool life.
It can be used for drilling hard and abrasive materials such as tool steels and cast irons.
