The A901 is available in a wide range of fractional and metric sizes and is part of the PFX range of drills from Dormer.
PFX drills have a special parabolic flute design so you can drill deep holes in a single pass – eliminating the need to “peck” the hole in several passes.
The 130 degree point means you do not need to apply as much force as normal to drill the workpiece and also helps with self-centering so the drill does not slide over the workpiece.
The “Alcrona-TOP” coating on the A901 increases the life of the tool and improves performance when drilling harder materials.
The tool is made from premium High Speed cobalt and is suitable for drilling many materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steels.
