Recommended for drilling very deep holes or for applications where extra reach is necessary, the A976 extra long series metric drills are part of Dormer’s PFX range, with a specially designed parabolic flute which removes the need to drill deep holes in a series of short steps, stopping each time to withdraw the drill from the hole and remove the swarf.
With PFX drills you can drill even extra deep holes in a single pass, saving you time each time you drill a hole.
The drills are made from premium High Speed cobalt so they are suitable for drilling a large selection of materials including stainless steels, aluminium and steels, whilst the bright finish prevents workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool, giving you a more accurate hole diameter with a cleaner finish.
The 130 degree point means less force is needed to drill the hole and it also stops the point from skidding over the surface of the workpiece
