The A978 extra long series drills come in a range of metric diameters from 3.00 mm to 10.00 mm.
Part of Dormer’s PFX range of drills, the A978 drills have a specially designed parabolic flute which means you can even drill extra deep holes in a single pass.
These extra long series drills are recommended for drilling extra deep holes and for applications where a very long reach is needed.
They are made from premium High Speed cobalt and are suitable for drilling a wide range of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steels, whilst the bright finish ensures workpiece material does not stick to the cutting edge, so giving you a cleaner, more accurate hole.
The 130 degree point means the drill will not skid over the surface of the workpiece and also less force is needed to drill a hole
