SIEGMA 5GU12.5KB is a 90 mm square parallel shaft gearhead with a 12.5:1 ratio for SIEGMA GU-pinion AC motors (90, 120 W). It gives 144 r/min output at 60 Hz with a 4-pole motor and up to 6.8 N·m (60.2 lb-in) of permissible torque, depending on the motor. Equivalent to Oriental Motor 5GU12.5KA (current Oriental Motor numbering: 5GE12.5SA): matched on frame size and gear ratio.

Typical uses are conveyors, indexers, packaging machinery and food processing equipment.

Mounting

Mounts to the standard 90 mm GN/GU frame — same bolt pattern as Oriental Motor and other major brands (104 mm bolt circle).

Output shafts are not standardized across brands: this gearhead has a 15 mm (0.591 in) h7 shaft with a 5 mm key. Check it against the dimension drawing before fitting a coupling, pulley or sprocket.

A motor and gearhead must share the same frame size and pinion type; use this gearhead with SIEGMA GU-pinion motors.
