A camlock fitting is a type of hose coupling that is quite popular because of its reliability and simplicity. Cam and groove fittings connect and disconnect hoses fast and without the need for any complex tools. The female and male ends are made to align seamlessly with each other. There are several styles and types of cam and groove fittings from type A to type DP. A Type A camlock fitting is one with a male adapter and a female thread while the type B features a female coupler head with a male thread. Type C cam and groove fittings have a coupler with a hose shank/barb while type D fittings have a female thread. Type E camlock fittings feature an adapter with a shank while type F have an adapter with a male thread. Lastly, there are DC and DP fittings.
