Lubriplate SFGO Ultra is a 100% synthetic, polyalphaolefin (PAO)-based, NSF H1 registered food machinery lubricant — a super multi-purpose fluid that consolidates several plant lubricants into one line across 13 ISO grades. It delivers outstanding oxidation resistance and thermal stability at both temperature extremes, with pour points to −65°F and flash points to 520°F, and carries Lubriplate's AW/EP/FG ULTRA XTREMITY additive system. SFGO Ultra 220 and 460 pass 14 stages of the FZG gear test.

Why the base oil matters. European equipment manufacturers are writing mineral-oil restrictions into their manuals over MOAH and MOSH content, and that equipment is arriving in U.S. plants. SFGO Ultra is PAO-based, not mineral-oil-based, so it is not affected — a direct answer when an OEM manual rules out a mineral-based lubricant. Complies with FDA 21 CFR 172.882.

My new European machine's manual says no mineral oil. What do I use? This product

SFGO Ultra is PAO-based, not mineral-oil-based, so it is not affected by MOAH or MOSH restrictions. For gearboxes specifically, see the PGO-FGL series (PAG-based).

What is MOAH and MOSH? This product

Mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons and mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons, compounds present in mineral oils. European OEMs increasingly restrict mineral-oil-based lubricants on this basis. Note that the U.S. FDA permits USP white mineral oil for consumption under 21 CFR 172.878; this is a difference in OEM specification practice, not a U.S. safety ruling.

Which ISO grade do I need? This product

Match the grade to the equipment manual. SFGO Ultra covers ISO 7 through 1000 across 13 grades. If you are unsure, Lubriplate's technical hotline (800-347-5343) and free plant survey will spec it.

Is SFGO Ultra NSF H1 registered? This product

Yes, every grade. It complies with FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 and 172.882 and is authorized for federally inspected meat and poultry plants.

Can one product really replace several? This product

That is the design intent. It is a super multi-purpose fluid recommended across air compressors, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, pumps and chains, which is what makes it useful for lubricant consolidation.
