Cooper is a designer and ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of split bearings serving the steel, mining, marine, conventional power & renewable energy, cement, and sugar markets. Cooper bearings are made to withstand different types of operating conditions and can be incorporated in various types of equipment including conveyors, fans, cooling beds, motors and generators, stacker reclaimers, and marine propulsion systems.
History
Cooper was founded in 1894 by Thomas Cooper in King's Lynn, Norfolk. Mr. Cooper was a prolific inventor, known for creating a revolutionary steam digger (for arable farming) and the first small aerial bombs. In 1907, Mr. Cooper designed a ground-breaking split bearing which became the sole focus of the company after his death. In 1991, Cooper was acquired by Kaydon Corporation.

Cooper Bearings is still headquartered in King's Lynn, Norfolk with several registered offices in the US, Germany, and China. The company also has several service and distribution centers located in Australia, China, India, Brazil, USA, Germany, and the UK.
