History
Dixon Valve & Coupling was founded by H.W. Goodall in Philadelphia in 1916. By the next year, the company was able to patent the first hose coupling. The company expanded its reach by opening Dixon Ltd. in Canada in 1934 and Dixon Adflow, Ltd. in Preston, UK in 1981. To further its growth, Dixon Valve also acquired several companies over the years such as Bayco Industries, Minsup, American Coupling Company of Chicago, Powhatan, and Eagle America. Dixon Valve also expanded its product range by introducing several innovations such as the Tuff-Lite line of nylon fittings and the Boss-Lock (fitting with a safety-locking handle).

Dixon Valve & Coupling has its international headquarters located in Chestertown, Maryland. The company also has several facilities (manufacturing and storage) as well as sales and/or service centers across the United States. Aside from its strong presence in the U.S., Dixon Valve also has several divisions that serve the international markets with offices located in five continents.
