McGill
McGill is an Emerson Industrial Automation brand under the Power Transmission Solutions division that offers aerospace and specialty bearings, cam follower bearings, unmounted needle bearings, and unmounted spherical roller bearings. McGill bearings serve various industries such as aerospace, food, forestry, and metals.
History
McGill was established in 1905 as Crescent Company by James H. McGill. The company's name was changed to McGill Manufacturing Co. in 1910. The company's first products included coloring fluid for incandescent light bulbs, wire guards for lamps, and socket handles. In 1925, the company formed its bearing business unit. In 1930, McGill introduced and patented the MULTI-ROL needle bearings. In 1937, McGill invented cam follower bearings (CAMROL®). In 1956, the company invented GUIDEROL® needle bearings. In 1967, McGill invented SPHERE-ROL spherical bearings. In 1984, the company expanded its product line to include metric cam followers. In 1990, McGill was acquired by Emerson Electric Co.

Emerson's Power Transmission Solutions has its headquarters in Florence, Kentucky with manufacturing, distribution, and sales facilities all around the world including Germany, China, Brazil, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, India, UAE, Romania, France, Spain, Italy, and Belgium.
