Nexen Group, Inc. manufactures precision motion control components, web tension control, and power transmission products. Nexen products include linear locking components, high precision linear and rotary systems, pneumatic brakes and clutches, electronic tension controls, safety chucks, and torque limiters. Nexen Group, Inc. serves a variety of industries including aerospace, machine tool, factory automation, robotics, automotive, material handling, and packaging.

 

History

Nexen Group, Inc's origins can be traced back to 1902 when Horton, a manufacturing firm, was established. In 1951, Horton was purchased by four investors including Hugh Schilling, Sr. During this period, the company was manufacturing industrial pneumatic clutches and brakes. Over the years, the company developed two distinct product lines: diesel vehicle components and industrial products which included power transmission products, motion control, and web control systems. In 1999, Horton was divided into two separate companies. Hugh K. Schilling, Jr. acquired the industrial products business and named the company Nexen Group, Inc.

 

Headquarters & Locations

Nexen Group, Inc. has its global headquarters located in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota and its manufacturing facility located in Webster, Wisconsin. The company's international sales offices are located in Wemmel, Belgium; Tokyo, Japan; and Victoria, Australia.
