Renold Jeffrey

Renold Jeffrey is a designer and manufacturer of high performance transmission chains, engineering chains, and Smartlink, a device that can detect the stresses experienced by the chain as it travels through a machine. The company's products are used in a wide range of industries including process equipment manufacturing, foundry equipment, wastewater treatment systems, construction and mining equipment, tailored engineering solutions, and bulk material handling systems.

 

History

Renold Jeffrey, the oldest company in the U.S., was founded in 1887 as Jeffrey Chain Corporation by Joseph Jeffrey. In 1962, the company moved from Columbus, Ohio to Morristown, Tennessee. In 1974, Dresser acquires Jeffrey Chain. More than a decade later, the company goes private. A management buy-out occurs in 1996. Four years later, Jeffrey Chain Corp. is purchased by Renold plc. In 2003, the company launched the Renold Synergy roller chain in the US market. A year later, the Renold Syno maintenance free chain range is introduced to the US market. In 2005, the company launched the Renold premium quality roller chain to the domestic market.

Renold Jeffrey is headquartered in Morristown, Tennessee with service centers in Itasca, Texas and Cerritos, California.
