SKF / CR Seals (formerly CR Seals) 12438 is a small bore radial shaft oil seal designed for light duty applications. This seal features a nitrile rubber (NBR) sealing lip with spring loading for reliable radial contact. Operating temperature range: -40°F to 250°F. Suitable for use in electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other rotating equipment. Prevents lubricant leakage and contaminant ingress.

Radial shaft seals are used between rotating and stationary machine components, or between components in relative motion. CRWA5 seals are designed with a metal case, an SKF WAVE lip made of elastomer with higher pumping rate to reduce heat generation. The seal also has a garter spring and a non-contacting auxiliary lip optimizes the sealing against the shaft.
