Timken 21158-0940 is a hi-performance single lip oil seal with a garter spring, constructed from NBR (nitrile) material for a standard operating temperature range of -40°F to +250°F. This alternate hi-performance variant features a rubber-covered outer diameter for improved sealing in demanding industrial applications such as gearboxes, pumps, and motors. It is designed for shaft sealing where retention of lubricants and exclusion of contaminants is critical.
