A pneumatic gauge is a device for measuring the intensity of air in a pneumatic system. Without measuring the pressure of air running in a pneumatic system, it would be difficult to establish the amplitude.
Pneumatic gauges are used for setting up pneumatic power of pneumatic equipment and troubleshooting pneumatic systems. Although the optimal psi range of most pneumatic systems is 5000 psi, some pneumatic gauges are designed to measure up to 10,000 psi. Pneumatic gauges are mainly installed close to the
pumps. However, they can also be placed at any point where you need to assess pneumatic pressure.The commonest type of pneumatic gauge is the Bourdon-Tube model. This design works with two tubes, a flat metallic and a semicircular tube, that are connected to a lever. The curved tube tries to straighten under pressure and move away from the lever. The lever movement also moves a connected needle to indicate the pressure on the line.
