Lighting fixtures, also known as light fittings, are electrical devices that hold/ contain electric lamps
. They are designed with a fixed body and can hold one or several lamps. In some cases, the fixtures may be in-socket models or hard-wired like in the case of some LED fixtures.
The fixtures can also be designed with a switch for controlling light either attached to their body or on the power cable. However, there are others such as chandeliers that do not have own switches. Instead, they rely on the wall switches.
In most of the cases, light fixtures run on the AC mains, but you can also find a few battery-operated models. Depending on the design of the light fixture, they can also have additional features like reflectors, outer shells, aperture, and shades.
The three main types of lighting fixtures include the portable/ free-standing models, special-purpose lighting, and fixed models. Visit our page to check the available lighting fixtures such as Emergency Fixtures
