ROLLER CONVEYOR TRANSFER PLATES

Transporting products across a roller conveyor, whether belt driven, line shaft driven, chain driven, or MDR & band, presents a unique problem – product loss between rollers. Roller Conveyor Transfer Plates (RCTP) from Flexco keeps your product moving to its final destination by floating in between two rollers, covering the gap and preventing envelopes, polybags, and small packages from falling in the spaces between. RCTPs also help prevent workers from reaching into the areas between rollers to retrieve parcels and getting caught, pinched, or injured on the drive bands, belts, or chains.

INSTALLATION

Roller Conveyor Transfer Plates (RCTP) have a snap-in-place design, making them easy to install and replace as needed.
To install:

1. Inspect roller conveyor area to ensure it is free of debris and ready for installation.
   • Remove significant debris build up on rollers
   • Measure width at inside of conveyor frame
   • Determine number of RCTP 12" transfer plates required
2. Cut transfer plates to length
   • Minimum transfer plate cut length is 4" (each leg section is 1")
   • Use leg notcher to cut the legs at their base just before desired length
   • User plate cutter to cut transfer plate to length
3. RCTP installation
   • Insert RCTP using a rocking motion from the side into the roller gap. Do not insert from the end.
   • Place cut end transfer plate up to adjoining transfer plate with spring tab placed against the conveyor frame
   • Designed to slightly float in the gap
   • Adjusting end tab may assist with length modification.
