Description:
If you work in a manufacturing plant or warehouse, part of your everyday work is likely to include handling
pallets. Pallet moving equipment, commonly referred to as jerks, is a category of apparatus used to move heavy materials to a processing facility or ready products to a warehouse. They are very important in enhancing the smooth workflow and productivity of your facility. The pallet moving equipment can be classified into three key categories:
1) Electrical
Pallet Jacks: These jacks are common in most warehouses and are used for many jobs including pulling loads and transporting materials. Most of them are powered by industrial
batteries.
2) Manual Pallet Jacks: Unlike the electric pallet jacks, the manual models operate with a hydraulic pump. They are relatively small and are preferred for moving materials over short distances.
3) Rider pallet jacks: This category of equipment is an enhanced version of the electric model. They feature a platform for the operator to stand on when driving the pallet jack. The pallet jacks are preferred for moving larger loads over longer distances in industrial plants.
