Single lip with a garter spring - generally used for sealing lower pressure applications. However, not recommended for use in applications where the surrounding environment contains any dirt or contaminants. Metal OD with lead-in chamfer - this type is most suitable for steel or cast iron housing materials. The metal case gives a particularly firm and accurate seat in the housing, but static sealing on the OD is partially limited. FKM single lip spring lip attached to end of case only.
