Fount Punch Set

A set of 100 alpha-numeric characters (3 mm height) made from high quality hardened tool steel (characters hardened to 58-62 Rockwell C) to give clear, consistent marking throughout a long life. The set includes 12 blanks which may be used as spacers and packing pieces, plus a hand holder which will take up to 9 characters in one single row to give uniform and repetitive word alignment. The punches and holder are neatly stored in a compact plastic box which includes handling tweezers and hexagon key.

What is included in the Punch Set?

There are 100 alpha-numeric characters, plus an additional 12 pieces to be used as spacers and packing pieces. A hand holder is also included which will take up to 8 characters in one single row to give both a uniform and repetitive word alignment.

How long does the engraving last for?

These individual character punches are hardened and tempered for long life. They are capable of indenting materials up to 59-61 HRC.
