Allen-Bradley 1691-N2 is a contact protector, also known as an RC snubber or surge suppressor, designed to protect relay and contactor contacts from voltage spikes and arcing. This model features a 0.50 microfarad (µF) capacitor and a 220 ohm resistor in series, packaged for easy installation across AC inductive loads. It is part of the Bulletin 1691 line of suppression modules, used to extend contact life and reduce electrical noise in control circuits.
