One of the common models of limit alarms is the universal input type. The universal input limit alarm model allows you to select the preferred input ranges as well as output functions and can be used on a wide range of industrial applications. The main types of alarm functions in this type of alarm limit include peak detection, rate-of-change alarm, window alarm, and on/off control alarm. Other types of limit alarms include models with DC voltage, AC voltage, millivolt, frequency input, RTD/ resistance and thermocouple input systems.
