MROsupply is the e-commerce site of Mechanical Drives & Belting, a distributor of industrial supplies. Mechanical Drives & Belting was established in 1898 as L.A. Rubber Co., a small distributor of general mill products such as hose, packing, industrial lubricants, and other rubber products.
In 1915, the company was purchased by a group of Seattle businessmen, one of which was Stanley K. Durfee, the grandfather of Mechanical Drives & Belting.
In 1963, the company acquired the Degen Fiege Company and relocated to E. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles. In 2002, L.A. Rubber Co. merged with Mechanical Drives Co., expanding the company's base of products and services. Three years later, the company changed its name to Mechanical Drives & Belting, reflecting the comprehensive range of the industrial components that it supplied.
Today, the company distributes a complete range of motion control and rubber products as well as AC/DC motors, conveyor belting, speed reducers, and bearings.
Mechanical Drives & Belting has its corporate headquarters located in E. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles with facilities in Bakersfield, California.
