Dormer’s A123 short drill in both fractional and metric sizes is specially designed for drilling thin materials and sheet metal.
Manufactured from High Speed steel, it is suitable for drilling in many materials including steels, stainless steels and aluminium.
The drill has a 120 degree point and a steam oxide finish which stops workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the drill, giving you a better hole finish and more accurate diameter.
The core of the A123 is thinner than normal which helps reduce the amount of force needed when drilling.
A final design feature is the absence of any body clearance on the drill which improves hole roundness when drilling thin material
