These switches are ideal for replacing traditional tongue interlocks and have the same footprint as the Trojan tongue interlock. They are supplied with a dedicated Spartan Actuator. These reliable switches have Power-to-Release functionality and 2N/C 1N/O contacts. They also have lid mounted status indication for quick and easy troubleshooting, and a rotatable head with 4 possible actuator entry positions.
In applications where excessive force can be generated such as rebound of heavy doors, the TLS-GD2 or Atlas should be considered.
Operational override key (285-7656 order separately) can be used to unlock locking mechanism in emergencies.

440G-S36003 Spartan Solenoid Interlock Switch

The 440G-S36003 Spartan Safety Switch is a tongue-operated, positive mode safety interlock switch that offers dependable protection and durability. An external signal must be applied to the internal solenoid to release the lock mechanism, which then allows the safety guard to open. The power supply remains isolated while the barrier is open, ensuring that personnel cannot enter a hazardous area where machinery is in motion. This reliable interlock switch helps to ensure that your machine processes carry on running seamlessly, improving overall efficiency, safety, and productivity.
The 440G-S36003 Switch has power-to-release functionality, 2NC safety contacts, 1NO auxiliary contact, and M20 conduit entry. It features a standard type actuator made of robust stainless-steel for greater resilience, and the case material is made of UL Approved glass filled polyester. The solenoid voltage is 110V ac/dc. This unit has a holding force of 770N (173 lbs) to provide essential stability and security of the guard door. It has a high IP67 environmental protection rating, ensuring that it is fully dust-tight and can withstand regular wash downs. The operating temperature is -20°C to 60°C.
