  • Precision pliers for ultra fine cutting work, e. g. in electronics and fine mechanics
  • Electrically discharging handles - dissipative
  • Sturdy, zero backlash box joint
  • Low-friction double spring for gentle and even opening
  • The mirror polish together with a fine film of oil offer effective rust protection - no circuit faults caused by peeling chrome from plated tools
  • Cutters additionally laser hardened, cutter hardness at least 56 HRC
  • Handles with two-colour multi-component grips black/grey
  • Ball bearing chrome steel, oil hardened
Cut fine wire and cable vertically to surfaces
Cutting vertically to the surface, and therefore from the front - also almost flush

In tight spaces, e.g. on printed circuit boards, cutting is often best done from above. The Knipex 64 12 115 ESD electronics end cutting nippers are ideal here. Unlike with diagonal cutters, where the cutting edges are a relatively straight extension of the handle, the cutting edges on end cutting nippers are at right angles to the handles.

This permits work that is almost vertical to surfaces from which wire, cable or components are protruding. The power delivery to the cutting edges and the measuring of manual force are both excellent thanks to the good leverage resulting from the short pliers head.

Sophisticated design – designed for ergonomics and durability

These Knipex end cutting nippers have a smooth operating box joint with zero backlash. Box joints are characterised by the fact that the inner handle is guided on both sides by two extensive bearing surfaces in the outer handle. This prevents the tilting movements which are typical with lap joints, and has a positive effect on the quality of cutting processes and tool life. In addition to oil hardening of the entire pliers, the cutting edges are induction hardened to at least 60 HRC. The low friction double spring is an advantage ergonomically. It produces a gentle, steady opening after cutting.

ESD protection from uncontrolled electrostatic discharge; safety rust protection

Sudden discharge resulting from electrostatic charging differences is particularly feared in electronics. With the Knipex 64 12 115 ESD electronics end cutting nippers, electrostatic energy is discharged in a constant, controlled manner via the handles. The handles are conductive – they are not insulating – and therefore permit a slow, safe charge equalisation. Instead of chrome-plating, the Knipex 64 12 115 ESD end cutting nippers have a mirror polish and a fine oil film as corrosion protection. The pliers therefore have adequate corrosion protection during workshop use; it is sufficient for the oil film to be replaced occasionally. There is no chrome-plating, therefore no pieces of chrome can peel off and fall onto printed circuit boards.

Knipex End cutting nippers – precision for electronics and precision engineering

Knipex offers an extensive range of end cutting nippers for applications in electronics and precision engineering. They are characterised by high precision and functionality – and the long life that Knipex stands for.

Those who use tools a lot and professionally every day expect a quality that permits simple and safe work and which lasts for many years of hard use. These electronic end cutting nippers are forged from quality materials, carefully machined and heat treated.

Every pair of Knipex pliers represents more than 130 years of specialist know-how.
