SMC JA63-18-150 JA series floating joint compensates for misalignment between a pneumatic cylinder rod and the driven load, absorbing off-centering and loss of parallel accuracy. This standard-duty component eliminates the need for precise centering during installation, reducing setup time and protecting the cylinder from side loads.

The floating joint series JA (standard) and JAH (heavy duty), can absorb any "off-centering" or "loss of parallel accuracy" between the cylinder and the driven body. Because of this, centering is unnecessary, installation time is drastically reduced, and a high level of machining accuracy is unnecessary.
