SKF / CR Seals (formerly CR Seals) 400500 is a VR1 V-Ring axial face seal designed for rotating shafts. This seal provides reliable exclusion of contaminants and protection against lubricant leakage. Constructed with a flexible elastomer lip, it accommodates axial shaft movement and misalignment. Suitable for electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and industrial rotating equipment. Operating temperature range varies by material.

V-ring seals (V-rings) are all-rubber, axial shaft seals. They offer an easy-to-install solution for rotating shaft applications, including use as a secondary seal in highly contaminated environments. The VR1 design includes a standard cross section with a straight back side face. Being the most common type of V-rings, VR1 seals are typically used to protect bearing arrangements in gearboxes, electric motors and drives.
