SKF / CR Seals (formerly CR Seals) 24917 is a small bore radial shaft oil seal designed for light-duty sealing applications. This seal features a nitrile rubber (NBR) sealing lip with spring loading for consistent radial force. Operating temperature range: -40°F to 250°F. Suitable for use in electric motors, gearboxes, pumps, and other rotating equipment to prevent lubricant leakage and contaminant ingress.

Radial shaft seals are used between rotating and stationary machine components, or between components in relative motion. The seals have an outer covering of steel or elastomer, designed to fit the housing bore. The sealing lip is made of elastomer for best sealing against the rotating shaft. A garter spring in the seal optimizes the sealing against the shaft.
