Motorized Torque Arm II
The Dodge Motorized Torque Arm II (MTA) is easy to install and built to last. This heavy-duty gear reducer is designed to deliver industry-leading performance in some of the most demanding applications. The MTA features the patented twin-tapered bushing system that makes installation and removal easy. This system is available in standard and short-shaft systems and both guarantee maximum torque transmission. Engineered for reliability, the MTA has patented, premium-sealing systems that provide maximum uptime with less maintenance. This product is also ATEX certified and complies with Category 2 and M2 equipment, which is intended for use in potentially explosive athmospheres.
MTA Features
- Compact space-saving design
- Rugged and case-carburized helical bevel gearing
- Heavy-duty tapered roller bearings throughout
- Harsh-duty lip seals for extended wear and -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to +300°F) temperature ranges
- Metal excluder shield-sealing system with rubber contact lip
- Standard IEC B5 flange adapter or NEMA C-face motors
- Available in seven sizes from 1.5 kW to 75 kW (3hp to 100hp)
- All tapered roller bearings.
How should I store a Dodge gearbox over the off-season? This product
Dodge's guidance for seasonal or long-term storage: fill the unit completely full of oil, plug the breather, and coat the seal surfaces with cosmoline or grease. Restore the correct operating oil level and breather before returning the unit to service.
How does Dodge warranty evaluation work if a product fails? This product
Failed units go to Dodge's US plants for evaluation — about a week in transit plus one to two weeks of analysis, and you get the findings either way. Warranty covers workmanship and material defects; failures caused by the application (lubrication, installation) fall to the customer, but the failure analysis tells you the root cause so it doesn't repeat.
Why do Dodge gearboxes cost more than import brands? This product
Reliability is the product. Dodge TXT and Torque-Arm II reducers go through 15 quality checks before shipping, and Dodge manufactures its own bearings at its North Carolina roller-bearing and Tennessee ball-bearing plants rather than buying them in. You're paying for uptime.
