Caution

Single bearings are not to be used where only radial loads are present. For two direction thrust loads, use duplex bearings.

General

7000 Series bearings are single-row 29° angular contact bearings having one heavy race shoulder and one counterbored race shoulder on the outer ring. Because of this construction, it is possible to incorporate a greater number of balls than in the deep groove nonfilling notch bearing. the combination of maximum ball complement and the angular contact feature reduces the specific ball loading under thrust load, resulting in high thrust load carrying capacity. MRC 7000 Series angular contact bearings should be used in applications in which the thrust load is especially heavy and beyond the capacity of singlerow types; for example, for a vey heavy thrust load in one direction, or a heaby thrust load in one direction combined with a radial load. Cage Types and Materials: For normal usage: heavy stock, two-piece steel formed pockets, with turned-over fingers or riveted together. For severe vibration, very high speeds, or high operating temperatures: one-piece machined construction of suitable material (phenolic composition, bronze, or special material riding ground O. D. of inner ring). The 7200 Series contains single-row angular contact bearings with a counterbored outer ring. Bore sizes range from 10 mm to 320 mm, and most of these bearings are available with a two piece pressed steel cage or a one piece nonmetallic or solid bronze cage. 700 Series bearings are designed with an initial contant angle of 29°, although some small sizes may have a lesser angle. 7200 Series bearings can be used with moderate to heavy one-directional thrust loads, or combined raial and thrust loads where the thrust load is predominant.

Great bearings, great price!

I am rebuilding an old Delta/Rockwell drill press and was having trouble finding the correct replacement bearings at a reasonable price from my usual go-to online dealers; from those that even had them available. Shipping times where reasonable. Competitively priced at time of purchase. Stock status was available, had to use contact link to make sure they were available to ship. Would be very nice if real-time in-stock status could be available while hunting down need parts, but in the long run it's not that big of deal. The stock status email back following the inquire was quick with a quoted price and purchase link.

How do I choose the right type of bearing for my application?

Start with the load and how it’s applied. You need to know if you’re dealing with radial loads, axial loads, or a mix of both. Then look at speed, operating environment, and space constraints. For example, ball bearings are great for high speed and lighter loads, while roller bearings handle heavier loads but usually at lower speeds. If there’s contamination, moisture, or heat involved, you may need sealed bearings or specific materials. In most cases, the right choice comes down to matching load type, speed, and environment to the bearing design.
