This interlock switch has high reliability and tolerance to guard misalignment, providing enhanced guard locking that gives you peace-of-mind.
This unit is a magnetically actuated non-contact interlock switch which is designed to be installed on a machine guard door. When the safety barrier is opened the magnetic actuator is withdrawn from the switch, which opens the NC safety contacts and isolates power to the machine. This ensures that operators cannot access a hazardous area where machinery is in motion, minimising risk of injury and downtime.
The 440N-G02001 Ferrogard switch has a 2m cable and FRS1 rectangular housing. The housing is made of moulded ABS plastic in red for easy visibility of the switch. It has 1NC safety contact and the switching capability is 250V ac, 2A max. It has ingress protection at IP67, ensuring that it is water-tight and dust-proof. The switching distance is 12mm (make), 23mm (break). The Ferrogard safety switches have protected safety contacts to ensure that they do not fail to danger. They also have internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact.
