The WEG SSW060023T2257ESZ is a 23A, three-phase soft starter from the SSW06 series, designed for 230-575VAC power systems. This reduced voltage starter features an integrated AC1 bypass contactor, eliminating the need for an external contactor. It provides controlled acceleration and deceleration for motors up to 10 HP at 230V or 20 HP at 460V, reducing mechanical stress and inrush current.

The control of the voltage applied by the SSW06 to the motor by adjusting the firing angle of the thyristors provides smooth starts and stops. By properly setting the variables, the obtained torque is adjusted to the load requirement, ensuring the minimum necessary starting current.
